Broome to Corindi Beach NSW

Sunset over Cable Beach

Broome to Corindi Beach NSW

It is not a blog from Broome without Sunset  and its Beach Camels

Six weeks in Broome it was great once again good weather although this year we had a bit of  wind and a little rain as well but still not like it was down south and in Victoria.

Made more friends and generally enjoyed the time there, doing Sunsets, the beach but this year not the pool, to cold in the water.

Cable Beaches busy time
A week before our departure we met up with Errol and Lyn whom we spent some time with, we celebrated Bianka's birthday with Errol, Lyn, Ian and Merilyn by going to a nice restaurant.

So on the 29th of July while the weather was warm and 30 degrees we left Broome, it took us 19 days to finally arrive in Corindi and are now   settled  in,  for the next 6 weeks, while our niece and family are overseas in Portugal visiting family, we are here to look after their house and animals. The weather is lousy 16 and very very wet.

Our first stop Ellendale dam

we met up with Sandra and Peter, Mathew and Charmain, friends from the Jayco club in Isisford overnight,

Charleville 2 nights and than Toowoomba 2 nights all other nights were free camps for the night, the trip was uneventful, except for the wind it was mostly from a South Easterly angle thus almost a head  wind.  The good consumption we had on the way to Broome was lost leaving, Something to think about when you travel around the block.

On the road Steaks
Getting fuel in Winton I made the sad mistake of being to close to a drive way fence and I ripped the rear plastic corner cover  on the drivers side off,

All fixed again
so another repair to be made when the opportunity arrives.

We had a flat tire in a free-camp just before Mt Isa,

look there is the puncher
and we ended up purchasing 8 tires, 4 for the cruiser and 4 for the Van as I ended up getting a very good deal from Beaurepairs.

Second event was breaking a spring somewhere just after leaving Toowoomba,

Springs can break but why out of town and on a Friday ?
Luckily the van dropped on the axle and stayed there (as someone waved at us saying we had a problem and after stopping I could not see or find anything) so I think we traveled like that for 200+ km's or more as I did not see it till a stop for a stretch in Wyberba 19k's from Tenterfield which was the next town with limited services made a few calls no luck no spring was available, so to get one we ended up staying the next 2 nights in Tenterfield  then having to drive almost 700k's km's to Coffs Harbour and return to get one from Jayco and to top it off the weather changed and by the time we got back it was raining so I changed the spring in the wet luckily not a great drama.

Next day Sunday we headed off and arrived here at Corindi Beach mid afternoon.  Weather still lousy....   today we probably had 50 mm of rain the back yard looks like a pool.

Well so much for my ranting and raving hope you enjoyed the pics I posted, till next time
